I sold a 1984 Caprice Classic to Pick a Part junkyard for $125. It ran fine but someone sideswiped it and it was about to drop a valve and I didn't want to sell it to someone who would blow it up and demand their money back. Also it had almost 300,000 miles on it and would not have passed the new emissions laws coming into effect without another catalytic converter and a new engine. This was before eBay got up and running otherwise I probably would have parted it out on eBay myself since I could have tolerated a heap in the field for a few more years. Since then I have parted two cars out on eBay but still need to dispose of their carcasses.

Yes, it's a pain in the butt and i had to do so much work. After i donated my car, i got a bill saying that my car was illegally parked on the side of a road. I had to fight the ticket in court.

Yes, 2 to be exact. I got only 50 bucks for one and the other one I got 500 dollars. I think I might have done better just trading it in as is. I guess it just depends on how desperate you are to get rid of it.
