Do u believe I exist???
well U never saw me, but here I am!!
Answering ur question!!!
I say, I can believe that some one the SUPREME ONE, THE GOD, exists because I can see many of his creations.....
HE left signs for us to observe his existance.
He dosent need to be in front of us....
well there is someone who created u, BUT who??
Its GOD ofcourse !
who is multiplying ur cells dayby day[that u r growing older]???
GOD is!
Who created the mountains???
GOD!
Who created universe??
GOD !
Don't u think how is it possible with out any superbeing, that every planet is moving in predefined orbits from long ago.
why don't they collide with each other....
Obviously someone super-being is controlling all this..
& THAT is GOD!
I can see all these things & lot more...
So I say that GOD exists......
All these things which athiests qoute that the planets are not colliding with each other coz there is centripetal & centrifugal forces which keep them in their orbit....
But don't u think where those forces came from??????
Who created those forces among planets????
[I say that those forces are actually created as signs to understand how the planetary system is working]
The athiests say the storing of large info in DNA is just a creation of evolution...
I am quoting from a website,
. http://yourgodisimaginary.com/i37.htm
"As we saw in Proof #25, however, there is no "creator" for DNA. The creator is evolution. No intelligence is required to encode DNA. Instead, the information in DNA is the result of natural selection acting upon random mutations, rather than the actions of a "being" like God."
it says
"NO INTELLIGENCE IS REQUIRED TO ENCODE DNA."
It means that any MAD man or even an infant can creat DNA & encode large info in it ...
Hell man!!!
NOT even a single greatest SCIENTIST dead or alive could ever generate a single DNA from scratch....
who can do this??
ONLY GOD....
SO Why do the athiests think that way????
Why do they deny GODs existance???
BUT now I come to some conclusion...!
Again from the same text, from the site, which says in between that,
" however, there is no "creator" for DNA. The creator is evolution "
What do these athiests want to display???
that they are unsure ....????
of what they are uttering out of their mouth???
remaining within senses???
first they say "there is no creator", then they say "the creator of DNA is EVOLUTION"...
The athiests are not clear in their own minds whether there is some creator or not....
& afterall they actually BELIEVE in their heart, that there is some creator[ofcource GOD] atleast, who created DNA[from scratch].
I think these athiests actually BELIEVE that GOD exists,
BUT they name their GOD as EVOLUTION.....
Because their forefathers have been saying that GOD dosent exist,, & they now know that GOD actually exists ,BUT they don't want to be humiliated in front of the world... So they keep on saying that "GOD osent exist....
EGO problem...!!!!

1. We can not see our brain yet we believe. We do not see the air nor radio frequency yet we believe that these exist.
2. Logic proves that God the maker of the universe exist. I've been posting this and no body has yet successfully over-turn it.
Premise 1: For everyrule there is an exception
Premise 2. Simple things--like TV, computer--has maker. If simple things has maker then complex things--like your eyes, your bran, the universe--has a Maker.
Conclusion: Therefore everything has a maker, but that maker is the exception to the rule. That is that maker ( called God) has no maker.
Try to beat that logic.
I believe in the Bible because (a) many of its prophecies have been fulfilled; e.g the lack of love and violence in our day; (b) many of its writers paid w/ their lives just to attest that what they wrote was true. That can't be said by other books.

To believe is precisely that: to trust that which we don't see. If you saw it, or had proff then you would not believe but you would know. Totally different modes.
We all have faith in things we don't see or know but we are just not aware of it, for instance: When you go to work you get on your car and get on the freeway...are you 100% sure that you will get home? How do you know that you will not have an accident? But you don;t think about it you just go. Also when you fly, do you know that you are in good hands? What if the pilot is drunk or had a bad breakfast or had a breakup and wanst to commit suicide or something.
Is the same with most of Scientific knowledge, which is based on induction, going from the particular to the universal. Basically: you have seen a few saples of any case, and this leads you to conclude that all the population pertaining to these samples are actually the case, and you set it as a rule, and you believe it to be true, but you or anybody for that matter has done the job of actually counting all of them. Knowledge based on science is always temporal, provisional and subject to be changed, refuted or confirmed. But in the meantime everybody BELIEVES and accepts the current knowledge to be true unless it is dispfoofed.
that is why those who believe don't need to see anything, is a spiritual and personal decision to believe, because if we saw then we wouldn't be believeing.
Peace

How can you trust the people who say that 6 million Jewish people were callously slaughtered by a group of zombified Germans during the second world war? How can you trust the people who say the Russian communist regime was an evil that needed to be overthrown? How can you trust the people who claim that America won its land by savagely tearing apart the native indian people? How, even, can you trust the fact that I am a real person sitting somewhere in the UK telling you this?
The answer is that you can't. The factual accuracy of History is not preserved in its telling. However, whether or not things really happened is not the important part of history; it is what we can learn from what has happened, regardless of its actual occurrance, that really defines its value.
The same is true about biblical history. It does not matter whether or not any of it is real. What is important is if there is value outside of correctness for use in the present and to help us make decisions on how to choose for the future. This is the nature of mythology and fable, and I certainly hold that scriptures have far more value looked at in a mythological light than they do in an historical light.
APPEND - In response to Chubb's post below, the necessity of a creator is only present in a linear view of time. If you suppose time to be cyclic in nature then it is entirely possible for the universe to be the initiator of its own instantiation. In fact, since we have started to view time as traversal through a dimension, and are now entertaining the notion of two or more dimensions of time, the possibility of a universe spawned by other universes spawned by ours is entirely plausable.

It's incredible that so many people believe a fanciful story from a long time ago without any evidence, isn't it? No one knows if any of it is true. Most of the other things people mention in their replies can be evidenced in some way. That is definitely not the case with religion. No evidence has ever been produced for the existence of god.
It's all down to blind faith and brain washing. Clever stuff religion. Control through fear.

How can a rational being believe only what he has seen. Then what is the difference between him with other creatures with no rational sense.
The belief in the One True God is not based on imagination, but based on the Holy Books of the Divine Educators. This is far more accurate than belief in the physical universe based on the books of school teachers. Can any man see and count to know how many stars are there in the universe now?

Nobody has to believe it. Its a choice.
A religion is a faith - you choose to make it a belief. Thats why there are many different choices of religion.
However, I have noticed some people getting 3 thumbs up for making a pathetic statement like 'how do I know you exist' or 'I havent seen europe but I believe its there' You are not answering the question, but instead trying to be superior with a single sentence answer. Try to hit the point.

Even though no one has ever seen God in full... thousands of people saw Jesus in person and billions of people have experinced God and His power. Nothing in the Bible has ever been proven false. Though there will be a few ignorant people who think because someone with a PhD SAYS "that didn't happen" that it didn't. Men have gone out for ages trying to prove Bibilcal accounts didnt happen and more often than not, they find evidence that it did. Miracles arent proven easily, but those are a matter of faith and an open mind that anything is possible. :)

Fear and faith. they are very similar. When you are young you are taught that if you don't do this or that. If your not nice, and pray, etc. that god will not accept you into heaven. So you fear god so much that you have faith that he does exist. The reason that I believe there is a god/higher power is because thru all of time his name is stilled the most talked about, written about, pondered question, most thought about person. So he has to be real. Maybe not in the context the bible puts him but he did exist at one point. I don't believe god exist the way they say in the bible but he did exist.

Do you believe in air? Seen it lately? Do you believe there are planets outside of earth? Been to any of them? Do you believe that a man named George Washington actually existed? How do you know what was written about him was true?
The fact is, a man name Jesus lived, no one of any intellectual repute disputes this. His words and actions were recorded by eyewitnesses. He died and rose again. That was also recorded by those who saw Him after His resurrection. There is no explanation that holds water to explain the empty tomb except that He did indeed rise from the dead. There have been no archaeological discoveries that dispute anything written in the Bible, none. The Bible is inerrant in history, doctrine and ethics, nobody has ever proven otherwise.
Of course, if you wish to live your life as a skeptic, that is your choice, but, to be consistent in your belief or lack of it, did you question what you ate today? How do you know it wasn't poisoned? How about what you eat tomorrow? Nobody can live as a consistent skeptic, you would drive yourself crazy.

Some people even when there older and know that the whole thing is just a myth really need the crutch of religion to be able to do there lives ,is far easier to blame a mythical being than take responsability for what happens to you in life.
In America, contrary to what Christians themselves believe, Christianity has always been a minority religion. From its low point at the American Revolution (19%) to its high-water mark today (49%), Christianity in America is often cited as the font of American civilization and culture. Yet this is contradicted by the fact that even though the number of converts is increasing, largely as a result of the decline of public education, the cultural influence of Christianity continues to decline. People continue to think for themselves, and it is the widespread contact with a variety of ideas and values is responsible for this trend in America.
In Europe, the scene of so much Christianity-inspired bloodletting and persecution in recent centuries, Christian influence has declined to the point that scholars refer to the current day as the "post-Christian era." In most countries of Europe, weekly church attendance has declined to low single-digit percentages. Only in Russia, suffering from the collapsing economy and educational system caused by the ill-concieved structural readjustments of the transition from Communism, is Christianity making headway, alongside New Age movements and cults based on eastern philosoply and religions.
The main regions where Christianity is gaining serious ground is in the impoverished nations of South Asia and Africa, where modern transportation and communications are beginning to reduce the cost of evangelical missionary work. The impoverished villages of India and Africa are the places where Christianity is seeing its most successful efforts at expansion. Where values of the 19th century still live, Christianity still flourishes.
Thers has to be a certain level of ignorance to make religion work.
