you need to consider a couple of things.
1. how long have u been together?
2. are you willing to stick around for a second time?
3. what actually possessed him to do that?
answer these honestly and if it doesn't look good, leave!
it could've been an accident but chances are it wasn't, sorry and be careful!

I don't know what i would do if my lover slapped me, but if he/she slapped you out of anger then do something about it. Don't let yourself be pushed round by anyone.

that's one of the biggest ways to disrespect someone. besides if he did it once, he'll do it again. I'm not about to be taken advantage of.
