I'm wondering if the veggies that come in bags carry the same or near the same nutritional value as to buying them fresh (which is a lot less convienent for me...)

Frozen vegetables have less nutrients than freshly picked vegetables but more nutrients than vegetables that have been picked for 2 or more days. As soon as vegetables are picked, their sugars begin turning into starch. They should be used right after picking or they should be canned or frozen to preserve nutrients. If you are unsure how long the fresh vegetables have been picked, I would go for the frozen ones.

Frozen veggies generally have more nutrition than fresh IF the fresh veggies have been sitting around for awhile. Frozen veggies go straight to the processor for freezing whereas fresh veggies can travel some distance to get to the final consumer. If you live in an area where the veggies grow they might be more fresh therefore have more nutrients.

Yes, fresh veggies are much healthier than ones that come in the bags. They add a bunch of things to the ones that are not fresh so they dont spoil while in those bags.

I think that frozen veggies have a higer nutritional value as they are frozen quickly, whereas the fresh veggies lose nutritional value everyday.
