Nope! It's too late! The planet and the species are screwed! Individuals care, society as a whole couldn't give a hoot!

Light keeps down crime. For all of these who get out of work after the bars close down and clean up and want a safe place to walk with less chance of getting mugged or raped. If you had to be out at night would you rather have lights around so you can see if anyone is out there or would you like to walk alone in the dark

How many cities have mayors or other city officails that get on the phone every night and insist that building owners / managers leave their lights on to bring in more revenue to the energy department. Hmmm, think there might be another reason for it?

Maybe so low flying objects can see it at night so we don't have planes and such crashing into buildings. Look at the titanic..Maybe if those iceburgs had lights all over them we wouldn't have had that tragedy!! :D
Sounds good to me!lol
