Drink plenty of water an non-alcoholic drinks. Larger portions of vegetables and small portions of potatoes and stuffing. Skip the gravy and bread and butter. Wait for a few hours before having dessert. You may find that a good cup of coffee with flavored creamer will suffice. Happy Thanksgiving.

Don't skip breakfast and if the meal is late in the day, don;t skip lunch.
Take small helpings of heavy foods
Focus on your food when you are eating. If you become involved in a conversation at the table, stop eating to talk and listen, then conitnue eating.
If you eat healthy most of the time, you should have no problem. If you don;t, why worry about it on thanksgiving.

Have lots of veggies (biggest % of your plate), the second % would be protein (turkey) and the smallest % would be starches- corn, potatoes, stuffing, rice. Drink water or low cal beverages and have a small piece of pie, or some fresh fruit and you should be fine.
