I met a nice guy online. We had long chats, have gone out 3 times,to coffee shops, dinner, hanging out watching movies. Says he likes me a lot.

We were to meet for the FIRST time. I had to cancel. I couldn't make it the Fri, but could Sun He couldn't the Sat, and said Sun he was occupied. I thought it was a little rude to say it that way.Is he married?

Later he said he goes to a bar to watch the football game, and that's 'pretty solid' =won't change.End of a long phone call, he said he'd had the game on low in the background.

He's invited me to watch the game with them, sounds fun. Also has some neat things planned for us. Wants to spend lot's of time together.
It's healthy for couples to each do their own thing, and join in each's hobbies.I would never say 'you can't do that'

I approached it and kidded him.In picking me or the game, he chose the game.
In a light way I said it hurt my feelings. He had no clue why. Finally said he'd rather have me there watching it than not

You are over reacting. First of all you are not in a relationship, you went out 3 times, that does not mean you now have the right to tell him what he can and cannot do. So why not just deal with the fact that football is still important to him, and you right now are just a friend. Do you always get this up tight when you meet someone and go out a couple of times? If so, you need to change your attitude or you are not going to find a man at all. Men do not like to be pushed and pressured into things epically a relationship.

If you can't beat them , join them. Get used to it, lots of guys watch football, especially if their team plays. Nothing wrong with that, but if you get to pushy, yes, he'll tell you to get lost. Join him, if he's worth it!
