right now during this Holiday season am missing my family and friends so when the Holiday Season is over I'll be better

Yes, I am very happy. My greatest joy comes from the earth and all her creatures. I love everything around me, the trees, birds, clouds... the sky, flowers, stars, frogs singing, wolves howling. I get all the joy, happiness and satisfaction I could ever need from mother nature. The Earth is so beautiful and is home to such incredibly wonderful living creatures that even in times of sadness or grief I have only to look out the window at the sun on the grass and I am filled with joy. People sometimes think they are alone in the world and are unhappy when things go wrong, but if they only turned thier gaze outward from themselves to mother nature they would see that there is no reason to be sad... with such beauty surrounding us.

I know it's a common answer, but helping people gives me my greatest joy. And seeing my grandchildren discover the world.

Yes. I believe our happiness depends on being true to ourself and our self respect. Which both are determined by our conduct. Never confuse self respect with self esteem. And never ever confuse happiness with pleasure. My greatest joy, other than following the golden rule, comes from experiencing that my mind is stronger than my matter/flesh. In short; that I'm not a slave to my animal instincts, but able to impose a discipline on myself.
