I am going to answer because no one seems to be able to answer you seriously or accurately.

A smoked turkey is cooked in a smoker. The traditional turkey is backed in an oven. Both ways are good but a smoked turkey gets a little dryer than a baked turkey.

Have a good Thanksgiving!! :-)

Think smoked salmon vs baked, same thing with sausages, they can be fresh or smoked, which imparts a charcoal or wood-like taste to the turkey.

answer: to boot being below a stricter preparation and inspection - kosher salt is extra effective and coarser than your well-known table salt. That makes it desirable for coating meats and fish in some approaches of cooking and for different culinary makes use of. it rather is like the form in no longer employing table salt in ice cream machines, you prefer rock salt. i will permit my Jewish buddies clarify Kosher somewhat extra useful.

smoked is flavored with a smoke flavor or actually smoked with woodsmoke as opposed to cooked ( smoked used to mean cooked in low temperature woodsmoke for a long time - like in a smokehouse - but now it means in a smoker ( hotter for a shorter time ) or commercially flavored with a woodsmoke taste cause the FDA wants higher temperatures than traditional smoking )
