After they crack in the fire, let them cool abit and then roll them in a towel to shed off the outer layer. Then eat!

You can eat them (best with a little salt added) or, better still, snuggle up to b/f (in your case) or g/f (in my case) and have him/her feed them to you. Chopped-up chestnuts are also good for turkey stuffing (mixed with bread cubes and spices).

Then you poke your head out the door, Jack Frost nips at your nose, you jump back inside and complain about being cold. If your b/f doesn't know what to do next, get a new one.
