Oh yeah, it's completely ethical to lie to your children and make them eat something that they have grown to love and adore. You stupid@ss! You really shouldn't be allowed to have children, they'd be better off with Micheal Jackson. Don't make me get the ASPCA on your dumbass.

Man you are going to be in real trouble if the kids read this question
It will be all your fault
The kids will never forgive you the wife will either leave of worse still throw you out or even worse still stay and make your life hell. The dog will probably forever piss on your bed and the cat will snarl and spit at you ripping at your legs at every opportunity. The damn rabbits spirit will haunt and taunt you throughout eternity and Christmas will forever be remembered as the time Santa calls and barstard Dad slaughtered poor "Roger" a slow and painfull death. In reality you will probably kill it most painlessly but they won't believe that will they. Christmas in you house in the years to come will be just great. Then when the kids finally get out of rehab and maybe try to lead a normal life and perhaps get married will you be invited no chance. So you manage to sneak in to the reception I can picture the scene now and the wedding speeches will be just fantastic. Now as time goes by your grandchildren that you will be prohibited from ever seeing will never have christmas as their parents will be unable to face this terrible time and whose fault is it going to be and all for what, a scrawny meal. Not much meat in the bloody thing anyway.
Let me know if you enjoy it though

I know what it's like to be short on cash as I am wondering where I'm going to get the money from for this Christmas. I've just set up my own business and so there is no cash flow. So I can understand where you are coming from. You didn't say that your pet rabbit had died though? I would care for it and leave it to live it's last few days in peace and dignity. Rabbits have feelings and have their own characters and it's not really fair to kill your rabbit, not to mention unethical. You would have the RSPCA on you straight away as well as distraught kids. They will want to know where there pet rabbit has gone. Having worked with children, I know that it is really important for children to bury their pet in order for them to understand the life and death process. It also helps them to grieve for their pet and is an important life lesson. They will remember what happened in years to come and if you have deceived them, it may make them feel angry and resentful towards you. My dad did something to my pet rabbit when I was young and to this day it still makes me feel angry. You need to think of the effect it will have on your kids and on your rabbit. Why not take a look in the library or on the internet for recipes that you can make cheaply. There are lots of them out there. I was forced to purchase a recipe book for cheap recipes due to my own financial circumstances. Another thing, rabbit does not taste like chicken and your kids would know something was up. I don't think as adults we give our kids enough credit for what they know and understand. Children don't always know how to articulate what they understand, but watch out they will do when they older! I have had experience of this! Just think about it.
From someone who understands and cares.

Don't eat the frikin' rabbit! The kids wouldn't know, but you would. I worked with a man in the same situation. He had a pet rabbit that his dad DID cook for dinner. It was supposed to be a secret, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out; and yes I could tell that he was affected badly by it ( betrayed by daddy) and reliving the moment.

Are you for real? The rabbit owes you nothing! You took the animal into your home as a pet! Get a turkey like normal people and leave the poor wee thing alone!

I am a lil uneasy that you've put that on singles and dating! Are you sure you just wanna eat it? Would you stuff it first? EEEEEEWWWW either way, it's alittle unethical. When I was a kid and my rabbit died I burried it, surely your kids are gonna wanna do the same.
If you really fancy rabbit and cash is tight, there's plenty of road kill around!

sounds good to me. i have thought about eating my kids' pet rabbit too. just beware, old rabbit gets tough and chewy. you might not be able to pass it off as chicken. You might want to tell them the truth after the holidays and explain that while they liked the rabbit, it was bought to be a meat animal.

lol sounds sensible... and you could easily pull it off if you have young ones. Would it bother you though? knowing your eating your childrens pet is being roasted and served to them?
Ask your wife, then your parents or hers and see what they would do too. If they are young and dont come in the kitchen i dont see how they would ever know... just dont tellem they just ate fluffy...
dont apply this to a dog or cat though...

Heh my grandmother did the same thing to my sister. Unfortunately she found out and to this day she refuses to eat a rabbit. Mind you it has been 12 years.
