Chinese food?

According to World Features Syndicate, Turkey was NOT served at the first Thanksgiving dinner. What was served was:

Seafood
Duck & geese
Venison
White and corn bread
Leeks and watercress
Wild plums and dried berries
Wine
Eels

I saw on Food Network the other day that Turkey didn't become popular nationwide for Thanksgiving until the Sayurday Evening Post had a cover for the occasion that showed a turkey dinner. I can't if that was at the end of WWI or WWII.
