Yeah, it's a stupid question, but I'd like your opinions.

I would say shaolin wushu because lions are flashy, according to the zodiac, and deadly, according to nature. Plus a Lion is a very good fighter, and so is a shaolin. And Leo people, Myself as an example are said to be very nice and likeable. So is a monk.

There was actually a science fiction story that addressed this question obliquely. Somehow a human wound up on a planet of sentient lions, and helped a misfit lion developa martial art that would work with leonine physiology. Don't know that they ever named it, and can't remember the title -- sorry.

There are many known and unknown schools of martial arts. Here's a couple of links:
Sleeping Lion Aiki -Hapkido has many components making it a complete martial arts system - With a focus on close range combat, utilizing low kicks, elbows, finger jabs to soft targets, palm strikes, knees, joint locking, and throwing. Ideal for jetliners, elevators, stairwells, alleys, subways, ships and buses. Anywhere that is confined by nature our techniques will work at their best. There are no jumping, hopping, skipping, flying, spinning, cartwheels, flips, bending over backwards or other contorted stances.

lion fu.
You see what a lion does and his natural fighting ability IS martial. It is the natural system of fighting that lions engage in using thier claws and teeth. However as lions do not have a language they do not name different concepts on how to "improve" this fighting art that they are best adapted to. they simply lack the intelligence to improve (much like pauly shore).

Lions use the fine art of Ea Tchu. Not a fancy art by any means, and it gets a bad name from the fact that the battle cry is little more than a loud burp.

The Lazy Lion would go for the fart-foo. It's the most lethal of all the martial arts.

I think it´s called Kina Mutai - the art of biting!
I think Paul Vunak once trained that with his guys.
Because of his big teeth, the lion would be master of that art! ;-)
