what an ugly old hag, cut her off! she deserves it! she shouldnt make your life hell, she only wants to cause trouble, i took that approach for my mum, the old woman was too much crap everyday, i thought i cant bother daily and have my mum worry, so i did quite harshly and now all is good for me and my Mum! mum is less stressed. : )
the old bat granny still will never change. i thought good riddens!
then she died 2 years later! YAY!!! : )
- and i was also too young to deal with it then, stupid family,
family shouldnt do this.

Very elderly can become childish again and if they feel they are not getting enough attention start to play games. Age is their trump card and they learn to use it well.....sory to sound cynical here but mind games and guilt trips are all part and parcel. Try to make allowances for her but at the same time be firm....but in a kind way and tell her the level of behaviour and the verbal content ofher communications has limits. considered acceptable within the family. If she does not want to conform then the visits and conversations with her may dwindle........let her realis e this and she may well have to be realistic.

Perhaps your granny is feeling lonely, does she have many visitors and friends. Don't get annoyed with her, but instead why don't go around and talk to her and ask her why she thinks that there is something wrong with your mum's head. I think it best that you go and see her, since she doesn't listen to you when you are on the phone. Similarly go and visit your mum and check that things are okay with her.
Try not to get too angry with your granny as she is the only grandparent you have left

I would do her a nice trifle and take it round, but here is the good bit, when you do the jelly put some night nurse in it.
So when she eats it she will sleep the majority of the day and eve so no silly calls and no silly conversations. Keep taking that round every other day and you will see a complete difference lol...
If that doesn't work, go round with a nursing home book and leave that on the living room table and just smile alot, she will get the hint..

Its a sign of getting old, irritable and a general pain.Perhaps she is lonely and can only get you to contact her if she leaves messages that will concern you,try visiting a little more it may be a pain but one day she wont be around and you may wish things different.

Dont reply to your grannies telephone messages, only speak to her in person and get your mum to see a doctor as her head is obviously minced.

you should really sit down face to face and takl abiut why she feels the way she does and tell her why you feel the way you do and try to resolve it in a peaceful manner and not go head on into it juust ease it out and if she doesnt want to talk about it leave it for another time.

Old people can be difficult for lots of reasons. Don't try to sort this on your own - talk to your GP or a teacher.

You could try locking her in a small cupboard for long periods of time till she behaves. Its the only way the wrinkleys learn! :)
