GOD doesn't need money. It's MEN who are asking for it. Don't confuse it. They are supposed to use it to pay for the maintenance of the church and to help needful parishioners and others.

God has no interest in money: see Mark 12:14-17 "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's" speaking of a coin.
Some (most) churches are founded upon, or have been corrupted by the traditions of men and are VERY interested in money, but the Lord also warned that "many shall come in my name ... and deceived many"
Matthew 24:5.
