It's funny how people say, if it happens it happens. BS! Things change, and the USA won't be the way it is today forever. We will need from those countries who's people we don't want. Hey, I know that when we get nuked, and if I survive, I'm running straight for Mexico! Hopefully they'll accept me.

What if? I guess there is Risk on any action that you take. In this case politics and the world standings. If unfortunately this country has pretty much the status of Industrialized nation, then you pay the price of having inmigrants from all over the world, staying here, living here and working here. The responsibility is that of the government so those people can either be legalized, penalized or deported. If they deport all of those, obviously people in other countries may see this as something negative. Now days; the way the world goes, with globalization already started with free-trade and all of that, I would say that the only way to stop this immigration would be that economically the world get more even, so there is no excuse for people to invade other people, otherwise this migration waves will last forever, even if they apply big rules...

Hmmm. Sounds like I'm in the minority here, but I favor the VISA program. There is no way we can realistically prevent them from coming here or deporting 11 million of them without massive taxpayer expense, so how about we collect taxes from them as long as they are working here? Of course, this would mean regulating business more to keep them from skirting labor laws and getting off on the cheap by paying minimum wages to anyone who needs a job. We need to eliminate the demand for illegal workers, not just the supply. If corporations don't give them jobs, there is less incentive for them to come here.
I don't like the idea of a massive raid to extract all of the illegal immigrants. I think of all the US- born Latino children who will have there mothers and fathers deported. Sorry, I'm just not that cruel.

The US isn't going to deport all illegal immigrants, the US was founded on immigration an that's what makes this country great. They are tightening up illegal immigration because of the free movement of terrorists whose only agenda is to destroy the country which we all love. What we can all do to stop this is to point out those among us, illegals included, who don't belong here, Mexicans already do this. border crossers risk deportation when they notice crossers who don't fluently speak Spanish. That kind of dedication deserves a reward of some kind whether it be a green card or what I don't know, but it protects us all. Now about us being hated world-wide, that has already happened, just watch the BBC or al-jazirah to see this. Unfortunately, it is lonely at the top.

I do not see your point, if we deported all of the illegals back to their country of origin, just how would the future be a scary place?
The future of America would look great.

We are already the most hated country in the world. Deporting illegal immigrants would not add more hate.

Yes, America would be widely hated (even more than we are now)
Especially in countries that send significant numbers of immigrants to America - in particular Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador and Haiti, where a high proportion of the population have immigrated to America.
Also, mass deportations inevatibly involve widespread human rights and civil rights violations, brutality and a certain number of deaths.
There is no nice way to round up 12 million people and deport them (ask Adolf Hitler or Josef Stalin about that - they're the last two world leaders who carried out significant large scale forced population transfers)

Future would be a better place to live in if illegals are deported. Once again, the keyword is ILLEGAL!!
Why can't they go through the propper channels and become US Citizens like all the millions of other immigrants have??????

If you are an illegal immigrant in Mexico you automatically serve two years in prison. Other countries have laws where permission must be granted by them for you to immigrate to any other country, such as in Russia.
Most of the time they do not immigrate, they escape. We are already hated even though they come here for work and take advantage of our education depriving our own population of these advantages. People should be allowed to immigrate here at a reasonable amount and not at the expense of our taxpayers who pick up the bill.

Most other countries and the people in them dislike America anyway. So why don't we deport illegals. Close our borders and keep our money to ourselves so we can defend us and the rest of the world would have to do w/o our freebies!
