Was the transfer hard? Was it hard to make friends? Was there to much work? Was it over your education experience? I just wanted to ask homeschoolers what they thought of collage.

Was not hard at all !!

More and more colleges are wanting home schooled kids due to the fact that they are more respectful, intellectual and can carry on a conversation with people of any age rather than feel the need to hang out with their peers all the time.

Most colleges don't even care where you went to school they simply want you to do well on the admission testing.

I was home-schooled the whole way through. Now I'm in my 2nd year at college and find it really similar to homeschooling because I've always done my school on my own and been responsible for my work only difference was I had classes at a set time.

The word is spelled "college" for starters. My daughter had to take the ACT like anyone going to college and I had to write a letter stating that she was homeschooled and what her curriculum consisted of.

Each state and/or university may have slightly different requirements of proof of homeschooling, but most are very open to admitting homeschoolers. They do very well in college.

Best Wishes,

Sue

I home schooled for my high school years. After I was interested in going to college. What you do is check into taking what they call a compass test. After you do that you don't have to take the sats or acts testings. They give you the scores that day usually. It's no that hard. Then take the scores to the college of choice. Community college is the best to start off with. They see where you need help and start off with core classes.Good luck to whatever you decide!!

It was easy. homeschoolers are used to being self-disciplined and taking responsibility for their work, which is good for college. Also, some of the classes at the college I attend are on line, so I can still do some of my classes at home like I'm used to.

we were homeschooling now for 2 years and the important rationalization for doing this replaced into because of the different little ones my little ones were uncovered to a commonly used (8hour) foundation. i do no longer believe that being locked away for 8 hours with 32 different 6 years is an outstanding thanks to socialise. we are accessible interior the "public" on a commonly used foundation. We paintings jointly with human beings of each age as we do not discriminate adverse to age because "someone" thinks we ought to continually purely socialize with the very similar age crew. we are also very energetic doing each thing from piano, to volunteering at animal rescue centers, swimming, fishing, paintings instructions, horse using classes and we personal 2 Welsh ponies, enrichment instructions, and the record basically is going on. I also paintings at abode and my husband is a firefighter. Socialization isn't an situation for homeschooling households. this question makes me sick. I ask the "public" college households HOW they could deliver their little ones to an area that and performance their little ones socialize with little ones that are advise-lively, rude, and performance no understand. those are the human beings we attempt to stay away from. this can flow on always yet I have too many different events to proceed. Have an outstanding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in homeschooling if you're in a tutorial you meet once a week and have a week to do the homework. colleges actually prefer homeschool students because in college you meet once a week and do the work in a week. in public school you go from meeting everyday to once a week [depends on the class]. and doing all your school in one day. it's not a hard transition.

Extremely easy transition. Already accustomed to self-directed learning and organization, and in many cases, the curriculum covered things already covered (or at least previewed) at home.
