No matter what time you go to the gym, how do find your motivation to go, I've tried going before work...so that's at 5pm, I've tried after work, that's at 3pm...I've tried before be, but I'm too tired.
Any suggestions?

I picture the next mountain that I plan to climb... strong motivation to be fit.

This may not work for you at all but my motivation is to watch the TV that is attached to all the cardio machines at my gym. I don't like to have cable at home b/c it's a waste of time but I still have my shows I'm obsessed with so I use that as motivation to go workout. Believe me it's not easy to get to the gym when I have work at 8am then classes most of the day til 9:15pm...I have to workout b/w 10 and 11pm...
Set a goal for yourself! it really helps.
The suggestions to take a buddy are also great as long as you are both dedicated to going.

It's the fact that I've lost 87 pounds since starting to go to the gym. I like it when people come up to me and tell me I'm looking great. That's my motivation. That and music. I love to listen to music while I workout. I'm a country fan, so I pick mostly upbeat country tunes. I also like listening to pop and dance music too during the workout.

my initial motivation for starting was when my gf dumped me for a ripped guy, but now that I am over that and have kept working out, I find that music really does help.

Buy a portable CD player or other personal music device and load it with music that you like and is upbeat. (Personally I have found that stuff like AC/DC and other rock like that really are good for motivation and keeping you upbeat while working out)

Bottom line, don't give up. Try the music, and whatever you do, just don't stop going. Your mind and body will thank you. Good luck dude.

Find a buddy to go with you. Make it a date.

Pick a time when you can jog while watching your favorite TV program.

I usually go to the gym on Thursday night and just stick to the treadmill while watching Grey's Anatomy.

But by going and working out you will regain energy to get you through the rest of the evening.Me I go run right afer work. not much of a gym person. by going then it also keeps me from munching before dinner cause when you are tired, is usally when you want to eat

well, I think about all the fabulous things that I can wear, how I'll have more energy for sex, and looking great for my fiancee.

If you're a guy, think of how much better you'll be at sex, the hot chicks at the gym, and how hot you'll look to attract the ladies......

Thts wat motivated me last year to go 2 the gym.....now i dont go there.....i m buffed and strong....Most of the day i play basketball or run 4-5 miles.........i m pretty much active now....i dont need to go to gym........


i have a feeling tht the gym u wana go is quite far frm ur home.......choose a gym close to ur home..............
