How long does it take for you to text someone back?

Just wondering how long it takes for you to text someone back and if you can't text them back right away do you sometimes forget later?

If my phone's just by my side, then I'd reply almost immediately. There are times when I'm engaged or caught up with work, then I'd text back within 15mins. I'd feel sorta uneasy if I didn't settle that ASAP.
But most of the time when I'm at home, I don't always have my phone with me. So usually, I wouldn't know that someone's messaged me until I've checked my phone. In this case, I'd reply the moment I see the message.

usually i text back very quickly if im by my phone. i use the t9word setting so its much faster than using ABC. But if the person you are texting to does not have the same cell phone carrier as you (such as verizon to cingular) it can take longer. if i dont text back right away i usually will do it later.
