It tells us in the Bible that Adam and Eve were made in God's own image - and bearing in mind that man evolved from the great apes - is God a monkey?!

I will not enter into any discussion regarding evolution as this is proven scientific fact - no matter what religion you belong to.

No... First of all, God would be an ape not a monkey (I think you know that because of the original question you ask). Second, evolution contradicts the Bible, you cannot reconcile the two. You can change bits of the Bible to fit the fact of evolution, like maybe God created the world in Millions of years, not 7 days, but that's changing the bible. If you change one thing you have to regard that the entire bible is just as changable, then where does that leave Judiasm and Christianity?

Egyptian Royalty are mummified, meaning they are preserved. they are additionally in shelters, meaning they might not rot. Dinosaur bones are extensive so decomposition could take a at the same time as. Apes and people share a consumer-friendly ancestor, they are not immediately suitable. The bones interior the museum are extra suitable than probably real, that or the real bones are saved someplace else to avert harm. Adam and Eve ought to no longer have probably began or sustained a inhabitants themselves, it calls for style of 20-40 human beings to construct a inhabitants. it extremely is Nefertiti, by utilising the way.

If you are completely convinced of evolution this is a silly question. Put the idea of Adam and Eve out of your mind. Monkeys were not the 1st creatures but evolved from other life forms. If you are going to make a comparison between evolution and creation Adam and Eve would be compared to the 1st one-celled organisms. So I can't answer your question "ape or human?" If Adam and Eve were the first humans than they were in fact humans. Whether they were created as such or evolved to that point is up to you.

Monkeys are animals, severely lacking the level of intelligence found in Human beings, Adam and Eve are biblical characters known to reason, think independently, communicate and receive and understand rules and are aware of their consciousness as people, they make their own human level decisions such as morality, make decisions to obey instructions, etc. There is a non physical form of being referred to as the soul. This aspect sets the humans as being extraordinarily superior to mammals in terms of the extra ordinary intellectual capacity and intelligence. Keep in mind a dolphin has a bigger brain than a human but dolphins are no where near the intensely advanced intellectual capabilities of human beings that have a smaller brain than them. How come? The soul.

And about evolution. Many 'evolution' believers talk about the whale and the cow, about how over a cow was evolved from the whale over millions of years. I'll leave you to IMAGINE how the whale/cow thing spent some of those millions of years existing both in the sea and the land at during its in between phases. Please re-think about so called scientific discoveries. Don't just go with popular beliefs, have your own opinion. Stuff like my example shows that how anti-religious advocates just use their imagination desperately to disprove biblical stuff by hypothetical theories which will always remain as a hypothesis. Think before you believe anything you hear. Sometimes its hard to be open minded in todays society as that phrase no longer refers to thinking independently but nowadays it seems to be 'taking the anti-orthodox' approach blindly.

Palidin reminds us they are mythological creatures, this is true, as they dont exist, they were yet another part of the novel that is the bible. And your point is very valid, if god created all that is known, and we know that ape came before man, how can we be so arrogant as to believe adam and eve were perfect forms of us, they had to be either some early form of primate, or a complete fabrication.

And dont we just feel sorry for joe kentucky who reported you so quickly without a moments thought for your question, which does have a point, obviously, you gave him another reason to doubt his belief, and we cant think about that now can we.

This really is a stupid question for you to ask. Since you have already stated your profound belief in scientific evolution, then you needn't ask about Adam and Eve since they do not form a part of your philosophy. If you express a belief in God and a belief that Adam and Eve might indeed have lived, then you negate your own expressed belief in scientific evolution. They don't coexist without some fancy explanation.
I can provide part of that explanation. God does live, He is real. At some point in His creative process of preparing this earth for us to live on it, He declared that it was ready for His children and Adam and Eve were selected to be our first parents. They were distinctly human as we know them to be since they tilled the earth and raised domestic animals for human useage, they communicated in speech and text, keeping a book of remembrance to pass down to their descendants. They worshipped God and built cities. They had all the trappings of modern man. So how did God create this earth upon which man could dwell? He used real physical laws and processes, some of which we know and understand and some that we have not yet discovered and are known only to Him. Evolution was most likely a part of that creative and preparatory process. How long it took for all of this creative process to come to fruition is also unknown. The six creative time periods was not necessarily days as we know them to be. It was probably not even the proverbial six thousand years. There were six creative time periods of unknown duration and then a time period of peace and rest while the Garden of Eden was man's dwelling place. How long Adam and Eve were in there is also unknown. After their expulsion from the Garden, then we have six thousand years of man's history, plus or minus a few decades. For my purposes, I don't believe that our scientific process is as accurate and perfect as we would like to think. We will find out for sure when we die and return to God's presence. Then we will be able to find out how He did it.
In conclusion, Adam and Eve were definitely human and so was God, or rather, He is like us because we are like Him.

They're metaphors

Adam is based on the idea of being where you want to be in life and having everything you could want.

Eve is based on how outside influences can destory your life and why you should stay true to your beliefs and ignore greed and vanity.

Just though hundreds of ears, people forgot that.

It is NOT a proven fact. The missing link is still missing, In 1859 Darwin conceded that the "lack of fossil evidence for the transition between the various species is the most obvious and serious objection to his theory" that is in Darwins own words. In 1979 David Raup, curator of the Chicago Musuem of Natural History, said "it's 120years later and we have many more fossils but still NO fossil evidence of evolutionary transition, in fact we have even fewer than we had in Darwins time what the fossil record does show is fully formed fossils, with NO TRACE of evolutionary ancestors" and here we are 27 years later with still no proof of evolution.
