Having light hair is similar to having white or grey hair. What may work better for you is to use a permanent hair color that is made for grey or white hair. But keep in mind what you used may not be compatible such that you want to try out a small amount on a bit of hair cut off from below. The last thing you want is a chemical reaction that is dangerous and melts your hair if you mix a permanent peroxide color with a metallic dye. I would suggest waiting awhile and conditioning your hair first well. Clairol hair products over the counter are nonmetallic dyes/tints I was taught in Cosmetology school and they have conditioning colors now. Also if you cannot afford to go to a cosmetologist I would like to recommend a Vocational Cosmetology school as I was trained at one and am not entirely pleased with many private schools who do not emphasize proper training and are about the money not the laws. I have worked with a few from a local beauty school we eventually fired for dishonesty or incompetence. I have been to a private beauty school and the local vocational school. I was not impressed with the Private school but was very pleased with the results and care I recieved at the Vocational school preferably during the day school hours which tend to get the better more qualified full time instructors who do it as a profession and not an additional part time job.

Your hair wont be dammaged if your going to do a darker color. Lighter colors have a higher amount of hydrogen peroxide, which will damage your hair a little in order for you to get your desired hair color. If you are going dark, you don't need to worry about that.
But for general dying instructions: Give your self a week, and then die your hair, make sure you don't wash your hair the night before or the day of you dying your hair, because the natural oils from your scalp will travel to your hair and protect your hair follicles from further damage. Also, do not bleach, please, I did it, and then on top of that I dyed my hair, and it was soo dead, it's been 2 years, and my hair is finally back to it's normal state, but it involved many intensive treatments, and cutting, so i had to spend more money to fix a stupid mistake.
Hope this helps!

You need to get a dye that is not "ash". That gives you a flat, no shine look. You can get a gloss to go on it for now to shine it up and then in about four weeks you can re-do the color. If you get a light or medium golden brown it will be shiny, but if you have any red highlights, it will turn your hair a reddish color.

you need to wait. If you read the instructions it should tell you how long to wait before doing it again. Dying your hair puts a significant amount of strain on your hair. I would wait if you put all those chemicals again, your are probably gonna lose alot of hair then have alot of breakage. You do not have to bleach your hair unless you are going from a real dark color to a real light one. Next time get a darker one. It should show samples on the box findd the before picture that matches your now hair color and it will show you the after color.

you might want to ask a stylist but if the dye is new (less than 72 hrs) you can remove it which will allow you to go back to blonde. if you can't remove the color, you will have to bleach your hair (since you darkened) it for the lighter color to show. all in all, it doesn't sound good to do all these processes around the same time. give it some time. and just in case, remember: hair grows back!

it depends on how daring u are, but if you wait a few days and do a couple of deep conditioning treatments, try a light/medium brown color...try one that is not a permanent color...that way, it shouldn't damage your hair....ash actually colored my "dirty blonde" hair to turn gray...it was awful...never again..i had to have it professionally fixed..lol...good luck

it depends on how much dye you use.. with my hair, it's really stubborn so I have to die it really blonde first and then the next night dye it whatever other color I wanted it to be. your hair might be like mine.
