Moet is overrated and like many champagnes the price you pay is for the brand, not necessarily the quality of the contents. Many people will recommend the big brands but have never actually tried anything more challenging than asti spumante. If you want a family friendly champagne of reasonable quality at a reasonable price then I recommend "Nicholas Feuilette" (brown label) from tesco. Normally £17.99 but occasionally on offer at £14.99. Choose wisely and you don't need to spend more than this for a decent breakfast fizz guzzle. Plus, spend less you and can afford two bottles!

quite a lot of major supermarkets do champagne for £15 or less. If its decent I do not know as the only champagne I have ever had at home was a gift for my wedding quite a few years ago!!
Sorry. Maybe if you type in Good champagne guide into google and see what you come up with!!
Any probs ask someone is a wine store. Maybe go to www.majestic.co.uk. Big wine store!
Good luck hope you find the shampagne for you!!

I prefer Asti Spumante by Martini and Rossi to any premium brand champagne. It's about $15 in Canada, which is about 7 pounds, I think. You should have it there since you're much closer to Italy than I am. Give it a try. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Try Veuve Cliquot non-vintage. It's the one with the orange label which turns up in all kinds of TV programmes. If the family aren't accustomed to Champagne breakfasts try a demi-sec as apposed to a brut.

Not for £15. Don't think you'll get descent Champagne for that price. I'd recommend Dom Perignon, but it's more than £15 a bottle.

Well id look in my local supermarket to see if any of them are on offer....my husband and i recently celebrated buying our first house and we got some Mumm champagne....it was on offer (£20 instead of £30) but it was the best champage you can buy.....and it was well worth it!!! The best champagne ive ever had.

No. I don't like champagne but if you have I'm glad you had a good reason to celebrate.

I've found that a good Spanish Cava is gorgeous - just as good and a fraction of the price of the French stuff. Happy Christmas!
