as a teen, I had a "baby face", as soon as I hit age 21, I started getting heavy acne. (I thought all that happens during the teen age yrs.)

Well, some people have it all their life. Accutane is a real cure. My sister's heavy acne cleared up within 10 days of starting it. It can cause birth defects, though. If you are not in your childbearing stage, and you are able to practice perfect contraception, Accutane is an option for you, but it requires a prescription from a Dr.

It is definitely hormonal and there really isn't much you can do about it. If you want, there are drugs and antibiotics that will help make it better, maybe even get rid of it...but as soon as you stop they will come back.

It's just rotten luck I suppose. Stress, diet and all factor in, but mostly it's hormonal and until you go through menopause you are likely stuck with it.

Do all that you can to keep your skin clear. Exfoliate and moisturize, using non-comedogenic make up always. Look for cleaning products with salisyc (sp?) acid as that helps fight the bacteria.

acne can happen at any age. you obviously have an imbalance internally. many natural treatments exist that are far more powerful than chemical methods currently in vogue with dermatologists. One particular course I recommend is the facemaster course. Its totally natural and easy to do and cleared my acne in days.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

it has to do with oil and washing. Wearing makup holds the oilon our skin the entire time that we wear it causing our pores to get blocked causing pimples . ask your docter if there is a good over the counter remedy
