there's this guy who flirts with me a lot and is always teasing me...hes lent me his stuff when I got cold and told me im beautiful...He told me he likes me a lot but im not sure if he meant it in a 'friends' way. He's invited me out a few times with his mates and also for drinks, which I went to and only ended up in a long hug...he found out recently that i do like him...but he'll start talking about other girls when i don't pay him much attention or if I turn down a suggestion like going to his house...I feel that maybe hes a player?and using flattery to get what he wants...what do you think??any advice would be greatly appreciated!thanks!

baby girl, actually he's a jerk. when things doesn't go his way, he then tries to make you jealous by bring up story about another girls. baby, stay clear of this one; he has only one thing in his mind about you. trust me, once he has what he wants, you'll be old news to him.

You sound like a smart cookie that has sized up the situation pretty well. I'd suggest you take things slow and see how it plays out--as there is no rush--and you need more time to assess the situation. He probably is trying to demonstrate that other girls are interested....so if you don't want to go along with the plan there are plenty of others that will, right? But he definitely seems interested and is probably attracted to your 'sense of self'. It doesn't sound like any of his tactics have been successful. Continue making him work hard to get your attention...stay the course girlfriend. Too bad there aren't more girls like you--most girls are such easy marks and never consider they may be manipulated with flattery. I'm actually quite impressed.

i agree he sounds like a player but he is also not commited right now so its ok to do whatever he wants, right? ask him a hypothetical question like, if you were to start dating someone would you still flirt with other girls, see what he says - but unless hes a major man whore he has the right to flirt if hes not commited
