I am asking because I find the common variety, often associated with Florida, to be too acidic and have too much of an aftertaste when in juice form. Are there other natural oranges which are less acidic and sweeter, and do any companies sell them in juice form?

Yes This site has an animated Flavor Wheel pop up on the left side of the page that tells about the flavor of different types of oranges.

Don't know about that last question, but as someone that lived in FL for 13yrs. I know what you mean about acidic and aftertaste. I usually perfered to use a electric juicer and juice my own. Hands down, tasted the best.
As to different oranges.. Oh yea! Valencia, Navel, Clemintine, Tangerine... and that's off the top of my head.
I suggest getting Clemintine right now. They come in the tiny 'crates' at supermarket. They are small, but very sweet. I think of them as my TV snack.
It's your palette and no one can judge acidity tolerance for you. All I can say is to try various oranges and keep a log of the differences of each type until you find the one you like best and buy fresh to avoid what you don't like. Happy juicing.

You will find a low acid Orange Juice in any well stocked store such as Meijers, and others. The oranges themselves, like Calif Navel are sweet, especially if you eat them as fruit, and not juice them. There are Florida Oranges California Oranges, Texas orangeds there are Blood Red Oranges and more variaties and shapes, some are round shaped other are shaped more like pears. The tangelo is one that comes to mind.
