Ali, Ali, Ali. Hands down.

He would have wiped up the floor with Tyson.

I've actually met Ali in person and he had very broad shoulders. Ali stands at about 6"3 and Tyson would've have a problem reaching Ali. Ali would've beat Tyson becasue Ali was too smart. He had every weapon you need - Power, Quickness, Reach, Good Jab, Rope-A-Dope, and superior mind games. Ali would've said something clever and got right into Tyson's head. For example I could hear a reporter asking Ali whose going to win the fight and Ali would've said something like "I'm too pretty, and he's a pity". You know how Ali was?

It really depends on the circumstances. If Ali was able to study Tyson's style and new what he was getting into prior to the fight, then of course, Ali. But if you recall, Tyson was unstoppable until the other fighters figured out how to beat him, (clenching when close, and triggering Tyson's frustration - plus Tyson's stamina was always questionable). If both entered the ring in their prime and knew absolutely nothing about the other, then Tyson by early KO. Ali would not have been able to stand up to the pressure. But Ali's strengths were his speed, intelligence, and stamina (and great KO's in the later rounds after the fighters ran out of gas). It would have been a great fight!

Ali would probably win. In his prime he had the speed with his jab to keep stinging Tyson while using his great footwork to stay away from Tyson's powerful hook. He also had the power to finish him off after the jab had softened up Tyson.

Tyson would have a punchers chance as they describe it on the UFC telecasts. If he caught Ali cleanly with one of his powerful punches Ali would at least be shaken, and might be down and out.

Ali in his prime would not need to use the rope-a-dope technique he used against Foreman. Ali was way past his prime when he fought Foreman and Tyson in his prime could batter anyone dumb enough to stand there and try to take it.

Ali, and it's not even close.

Ali never went into the ring NOT knowing his opponent. Tyson would've stalked him, waiting to land that powerful hook...but it would never be there. Ali would've just been nearly impossible to hit, and landing that left jab at will whenever he wanted.

The fighters Tyson beat never had an answer for that primal rage that he would get into, they were halfway beaten before they ever stepped into the ring. Ali *would've* had an answer for it- dance, don't stand toe to toe, frustrate him, make him make technical mistakes and drop the hammer when he's tired and the time is right.

Tyson also proved that he had troubles against taller fighters' reach like 6'5" Lennox Lewis and 6'4" Buster Douglas if they fought smart and didn't get intimidated by him right away. Ali at 6'3" would've been no exception.

Ali would let Tyson punch himself out as he danced around the ring. Then Ali would come in for the "kill" in the later rounds.

Ali. He would have used the "rope a dope" like he did with George Foreman.

Even in Tyson's prime, he never proved that he had stamina. He did not have to.

Ali would tire him out and eventually knock him out.

tough call......ali would more than likely be taunting him early on and this would drive tyson into a psycho rage....if ali could stay away from him and outlast him he might have a chance to win

if we're talking tyson in his prime and he started connecting with that crazy rage of his who knows
