Okay, well I got my ears pierced when I was like 2-3 months old. I've never had an earring hole infection, but now I've started wearing these pair of earrings and I don't know if it's the earrings or what, but now both earring holes are hard, and crusty and I have to wet them with water to make them soft so I can put my earrings in. Any tips of what I should do? Thanks!

Sounds like the earrings are probably the problem. They may be made with a sub-par metal that you are reacting to. I would get rid of them. If they have a precious stone, maybe you can take them to a reputable jeweler and have them re-set in gold or silver (whatever your taste). Maybe you could ask for that for Christmas (if you celebrate it). But I would stop wearing the earrings the way they are, let your ears heal. You can dab them with rubbing alcohol a couple of times a day to help them heal up.

You're probably allergic to cheap metals. Clean your earring holes with Hydrogen Peroxide and don't put any earrings in for a few days. If the crust goes away, wear 14k gold or sterling silver earrings. Or just get a pair of simple diamond studs if you're intersted in making a signifigant investment. If the crust does not heal or go away, see your doctor. It may not be the earrings in that case.

Must be a certain pair of earrings. Dip the 'stick' of earrings you know don't affect you badly into alcohol and put them in your ears. Apply alcohol (rubbing) and/or paroxide to a cotton ball and dab/squeeze behind the earing and twist the earing, so it gets into the hole. It'll take a few days to heal completely.
