Al Sharpton is an example of someone who gets press who should not - lots of thinly veiled racism and convoluted thinking comes out of his mouth.
To me he is not credible - as per your example.
I am a Christian and I know he has the title "Reverend" but never have heard his church affiliation - his talk certainly often does not reflect Christian viewpoints.

I think the entire concept of a "hate crime" is pure BS. Ever hear someone say they bashed in someones skull with a baseball bat because they liked the person so much? All hate crime laws do is say that someone elses life is more important than anothers, If someone murders my son who's white and then another person murders Al sharpton why should one get less or more time in prison,or a more severe punishment because their victim was black,is my sons life less important because he's white? The hate crimes laws are the biggest offence against human reason in our nations legal history.

He is not a Reverend. He is a racist, self-serving pig. How dare he claim to know everything like that? I think anytime a crime is committed such as beating someone or killing another it is a sign of hate. You don't kill something you love. Now granted, blacks had to put up with threats and intimidation by whites for years, but they weren't the only ones subjected to discrimination. I suppose all the Jews killed by Nazis were shown a sign of love? I suppose a group of angry boys that beat up another because he's gay is not hate? I suppose every man that ever raped a woman to show his violence and power really liked and respected her? Sharpton is a moron!!!!

What is exactly a hate crime consist of? I mean, I could bash my neighbor who is white (as am i) who is not gay (well at least I don't think so you can't really tell these days) do all of this out of pure hatred and then only get what I would suppose is "attempted murder". Even though there was no thoughts of murdering in my mind at that time, just pure hatred. Where are the boudries on hate crimes? Can you msg me and help understand hate crimes? I just don't understand.

He is an asshole if I have ever seen one. Plus I had to do a report on him in high school and he is just as racist as a KKK member.
