any guitar with humbuckers pretty much. they are pretty much standard for harder music. epiphone, bc rich, ibanez, dean, etc all have good starter guitars with humbuckers.

I have been playing guitar for 39 years. I started learning on a Fender strat (I am rich). I then moved to a Les Paul. I then went fancy and bought a Gibson Explorer (A real one). I then went onto a Santana Yamaha. I then got a Fender Telecaster. I then went back to a Strat. I then bought a PRS (special edition dragon inlay). I then got an Ibanez. I then realized that it is not the guitar that makes the guitar player! I now play any guitar that is available at the time (I have only mentioned the electric guitars I went through and not the acoustics.) However, I am lucky enough to own 17 electrics and 12 acoustics and 6 classics. I also own 16 different amplifiers, 4 digital processors, and every BOSS box ever made. Value for money..... I would buy a simple Marshall 50 watt tube amp (my favorite), an Ibanez with triple Seymour Duncan humbuckers, and a Digitech GSP2101. With that combination you can make any sound you want!

Go to your nearest music/guitar store and try some guitars out! To be honest, that hardcore "crunching" sound you hear in songs like The Beautiful People is mostly do to the amplifier and whatever distortion effects they are using. So go and try some out, Ibanez makes some cool guitars with sleek design and excellent sound. Don't buy a Yamaha, that is about as un-metal as you can get!

get a gibson, dont even mess around with those cheap jazz fenders, go with a gibson Les Paul or a SG special the Les Paul will give you a great deep dark sound if you get a decent amp
