1. Go for a trim to lose all your split-ends(of any).
2. Try using "Treseme" (its a salon heat styling product and not that expensive) so you wont KILL your hair. Just apply it BEFORE you staighten hair! It works great!
3. If your straightner doesn't work right then trow it away. Go ask your local hairstylist their suggestions on hair straighteners. Also make sure NOT to get the 2 inch straighteners. They burn your hair pretty badly. Go for the 1 inch straightners instead!!
4. To KEEP your hair healthy, go for a regular trim every 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 months.

I can help you out a lot. I have done so much to my hair in the past years, from bleaching it a good ten times a year, straightening it everry day to forgetting to get a trim and I understand the consequences of these actions. You are killing your hair. What you need to do is: Stop Straitening it. Go and buy a wooden brissle brush and blowdry it straight. Anyways, sometimes the natural look feels and looks healthier and softer. Another GREAT product to try is: Sebatian, Potion 9. This leave in conditioner is PACKED with every vitamin necessary to help treat damaged hair (plus it makes your hair suppper soft). Oh yah, you can purchase this at Sephora, Ulta or in any beauty salon. This is an amazing product! I swear by it! TRUST ME! Good luck with your hair trouble!

Well, my hair is naturally curly underneath and straight on the top of my hair. So, it is basically wavy. But, to straighten my hair all the way without a straightener, I use Bed Head straightening gel (it's green and shiny but it comes out of the bottle clear) when I get out of the shower (after I towel dry it) and then I blow dry it straight. If I want all of it straight, I use a curling iron to straighten it because I dont have a straightener :(. lol. But yeah, I hope that it works for you!!

i straighten my thin curly hair everyday and it's colored. First get yourself a ceramic straightener. Its straightens better and is less harsh on your hair. I use Sedu. You can order them on line at www.folica.com. And make sure you're not using too high of a heat on your hair. Many people put it on the highest setting which is not necessary. Also, always use some kind of hair serum before straightening it. I used a cheaper version of frizz ease hair serum and i use biosilk silk therapy. Biosilk silk therapy is awesome but expensive. I usually order it off of ebay if they dont ahve it at costco. Also, do a deep conditioning treatment on your hair a couple times a month.

their is stuff they sell it is pink and very thick you put it on then straighten your hair. It really helps from getting damage, breakage and split ends. SOLD - THE BEST ARE SOLD AT SALLY'S. Next to the straighteners usually. Also when you wash your hair use pantene, and always use conditioner - the one for damaged hair and let it sit atleast 3 minuites. You can also use the VO5 once a month stuff they sell for damaged hair.
