i prefer immitation ones right now because i have 2 cats and the last time we had a real tree... the cats destroyed it and would not leave it alone. immitation just seems like a better way to go when you have pets, that way, they tend to leave it alone a little better.

I like the immitation ones because a real tree is messy to clean up after with pine needles everywhere and then you have to dispose of it after the holidays. I also dont like having to cut down a tree every year to have a tree in the house, I see that as wasteful. I also like the smell of pine so I light a pine candle in the house so I get the effect of a real tree out of a fake one!

Imitations are better!!

It is affordable, you can re-use it year after year and it will still look gorgeous providing you take of it.

It doesn't mess up your house because it doesn't die and flake on the floor.

Your grantee for there to be no hidden animals in side the thick branch's.

When u get bored of it you can fold it neatly away rather than deposing of it, (I'm sure you have to pay to get rid of it).

And I'm not an Eco warrior or anything but its more friendly for the environment to buy a fake tree because why kill trees and so many at that just for a one day occasion, just to leave it to die in your house?

It absolutely has to be real but this is really bad for the environment so we bought a small one and use it year after its got sentimental value now and we can enjoy the lovely smell without worrying about the hideous waste of trees thrown or burned come new year. It also looks better every year

Imitation - when I was younger I got a pine needle stuck under the skin of one of my big toes, ever since then I've had an aversion to real Xmas trees.

Immitation!
I love the white ones.
My parents always had a real one, and no matter how much I nagged for an immitation one, they never gave in!
So that's probably why!

The real thing smells SOOOOO good, however you have to take in account the care and time it takes and the mess it makes not to mention other peoples allergies. Nothing makes me go back to childhood at Gramma and Grandpas like that smell combined with the smell of cookies in the oven.

I have a small tinsel tree I put on my table. I grew up with real trees...have you ever tried to vacuum up those needles and keep the cat out of the water?

It's got to be a real tree for that wonderful pine smell you get in the house. If your worried about needles just coat it in hairspray.
