I'm thinking of making fondue and it askes for heavy cream but i only found heavy whipping cream, will it be ok to use for the Chocolate fondue?

for thouse that would like the recipie:

8oz of dark chocolate
generous 3/4 cup of heavy cream
2 tbsp of Brandy ( or liquor of your choice)

Place chocolate and cream un sauce pan, heat mixture gently, ,stirring constantly, ,until chocolate has melted and blended with the cream.

Remove pan from heat and stir in Brandy.

Pour into fondue pot or small flameproof dish and keep warm, preferably oveer small burner.

Serve with fruit, marshmellows, cookies, and angel cake , cut in to 1 in squares.

Yes - it's the same thing. It has lots of milk-fat in it, and that's what you're after.

Chocolate fondue made with cream sounds great - care to post the recipe??? Happy Thanksgiving!

Others have asked this same question, so I decided to Google it. At wikipedia.com it says, "Also known as whipping cream, heavy cream is a rich... "
So there you have it.

yes, if it says HEAVY whipping cream, its the same as Heavy Cream. (Personally, I have never seen the classification Heavy Whipping Cream, but they may make it in your area...)
