Best way to prevent this is to provide more than one litter. a few dotted round the flat will give her plenty of options to do it in the right places. If it still continues. Then you have a problem that she is choosing to do it there but I know how hard it is to be there and clean the litter as soon as she uses it so Give her the option of a few more clean litters to go in before getting angree she wont use the litter more than once. If she is doing it to get back at you for not cleaning the litter and some really do do that. This should give her a little more option to use a fresh litter for each time. Even if you have to put one right next to the other. Hope this helps. Michelle in Northamptonshire.

How often are you cleaning her litter box? If it's once a day, I would recommend trying twice a day. I have 2 cats and I clean the box 2 times a day to make sure no one gets fussy and leaves me a surprise while I'm at work.
Also, do you only have 1 litterbox? Maybe it's time to think of adding another one so when one is dirty, she can use the clean one. It's said that you should have +1 litterbox for every cat you have. So if you followed that, you should have 2 litterboxes for 1 cat. Maybe that's what she would prefer to keep it up to her standards. =)
But you should call your vet and see if they have any suggestions. I had a cat that one day started leaving little presents right next to the outside of his litterbox. I couldn't figure out why because I had never had an accident with him. I called the vet and they suggested I bring him in. When they checked him out, it turns out he had problems with his bladder. So maybe she is trying to tell you something by using your jeans.
When you washed your jeans, did you only use regular detergent? That's not enough to kill the smell on your jeans. Your cat is probably smelling it on your jeans and thinks that it's "ok" to urinate there because she has before. Try washing your jeans with white vinegar in a cycle and it should get rid of the smell in your jeans.
If that doens't work, keep your jeans out of her reach. Put them in a room off limits to the her, your dresser, or in a closet (because as I'm sure you know, kitties can get into practically ANYTHING! =P)
Good luck!

You could start by changing the litter more often.. also as soon as she has done a poo remove it from the litter tray and flush done the loo !!!
Cats hate dirty litter tray's and will look else where to do their business if their litter is too dirty
I have 3 kitty's I clean their litter trays twice a week, I remove all litter and give the trays a good wash & scrub using washing up liquid, and replace with fresh litter..However, I remove all poo as soon as they have done it or as soon as I see it, also I use litter that forms into clumps once they have peed, this also gets removed.
Nothing smell's worst then having a dirty litter tray full of cat wee & poo laying around the home ..
You could also try hanging your jeans/clothes up when you take them off !!!

Like everybody here said, keep the litter clean but also try different types of litter. Cats can be very peculiar with that. I tried some good eco friendly litter with my cat but she only did in the clay litter.... Now she uses the garden!

I have to cats, both about four years now. From when they were kittens until they were about 2 they would scratch and rip curtains, and do things that normal cats do... including pee on the floor and jump up on the counters. What I did was filled a spray bottle full of water and sprayed it at my cats whenever they did something wrong, eventually they learned that what they were doing wasn't right, so they stopped. I've tried many different ways to get my cats to stop doing things, and this was the best. Hope this helps :)

well if cats are anything like dogs lol, i'd say punishment never helps as this will make her secretive in peeing, Watchout boxer draw hehe. Some ways in which i think you could solve it are as follows..... (p.s be quick the older she gets the more difficult to stump out habbits)
* if she does it when ur there, get a bottle fill it will small stones/pebbles, or get soem mini clangers, when she goes to pee rattle them, she might start to associate the peeing in a bad place with a bad noise.
* plenty of praise when she uses her try and keep it clean
*give her less water, shes only got a small bladder the more u fill it the more she emptys it, if your going out it sometimes an idea to use icecubes instead so its slow releasing.
*pet behaviour spray is an option usually doesnt work too long
*pets are usually only pickey if u spoil them too much or let them get away with it too long
*tidy ur room so she cant get ur pants lol
hope it helps anyway, have fun with pet :)

I must have her sister because my kitty will pee in the laundry pile if her litter is too dirty! The only thing I have been able to do is change to a scoopable litter and scoop it at least once a day. Sometimes I do it morning and night! It's worth it to avoid the smelly laundry! And she really appreciates it. After all, it is her toilet and she can't flush it.

The smell is gone!!!

Keep her box cleaner. Put your jeans somewhere that she can't get to them. I have a picky cat too. I have to clean the box 2x a day to keep her happy, and I can't change the type of litter I use either.

basically you answered your own question. She thinks her litter is too dirty, so she goes else where. The litter obviously needs changing more regularly or try using a more absorbent litter. You wouldn't go to a dirty loo, why should she?
