because jesus was a man, correction, jesus was a jew who sought reforem within the jewish temple, not a christian.
jesus was crucified for one simple reason that people fail to grasp or want to overcomplicate:
HE BROKE THE LAW!
There was no "trial" as under roman law anyone who would be of such low class that the law would allow them to be crucified as a punishment would not be of a station to be granted a trial.
Romans generally had two requirements: 1- don't disturb the peace and 2- pay monetary tribute to the empire.
Jesus broke rule #1 and paid for it.
jesus might have been a handyman (not a carpenter, check the exact meaning is "handworker" likely relating to a manual laborer who did odd jobs) and a man of peace who sought reform but he was not holy in any way.
If you want to claim he was then offer some form of legitimate proof. You got a video? you got a legitimate writing made during his life that doesn't contradict itself or other writings?
Do you have anything at all besides the "god can do anything" excuse which fails on its face because if god can do anything lets see god make a weight that he cannot lift?

He did send us to paradise first. God lives in the heavens above. We'll experience a new heaven and a new earth. God began creation and decided to create men and women to help him creat. But when Adam and Eve broke the one commandment, " don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God stopped the creation. As man filled the earth, God could see that man wasn't able to defeat sin. So he offered a way in which a man could sacrifice the best he had of his garden and livestock. Then Jesus chose to be born of a woman and die like any other human; to be the final sacrifice. And to prove that there is life after death. It wasn't God's idea to have Him sacrificed. But He knew it would happen that way. The new testament tells in many places what you need to do to prove that you believe in the cruxifiction of the Son of God..

All people are born into sin because of the great sin of Adam and Eve. We are no longer perfect, like we should have been, but are sinful in nature. Sin needs to be forgiven.
In the Old Testament, people sacrificed their best looking animals on an altar for forgiveness of a particular sin. This was a common practice of the Israelites, commanded by Jehovah, or Yahweh. Now to forgive the great human sin, a mere animal sacrifice would not be enough. Something more had to be sacrificed. A human sacrifice. Unfortunately, none of us is without sin, and would be unworthy to be sacrificed. A perfect human would be needed. Hence Jesus. He was made in that perfect state that Adam and Eve used to have. Jesus was without sin, and chose to endure the sacrifice for all of humanity. This being done, mankind would have a way for forgiveness of his great sin through the act of Jesus.

First of all...God doesn't have a son.
Second, i'm not convinced Jesus even existed.
He was a character created by the church.
The trinity thing was concocted and isn't mention in the bible.
Jesus didn't "DIE FOR OUR SINS"...that statement doesn't even make sense.
Back in the day many were punished and put to death by being nailed to a wooden stake or cross.
The punishment and pain that Jesus apparently suffered was not at the hands of God...it was conceived by the church.
We cannot attach human qualities and human thinking to God.

In other words, it's like you want a diploma without making the grade. You want the wealth without working for it. You want a job that you do not deserve. You want easy and instant gratification. You have to earn what you will deserve, in this life for the next.
With regards to the crucifixion of Jesus, that was prophesied and it had to take place.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Lamb of God.
Only His sacrifice is acceptable to God the Father and not certainly to a person like you or just anybody, who is not holy, perfectly obedient, humble and sinless.

Hi Action,
God sent his son, Jesus, as a ransom for payment for our sins. Without that ransom we would not be freed from death w/c is the punishment of sin.
He sent us on earth because this is our home. If Adam & Eve did not sin they would still be alive and the whole earth like the garden of Eden. You are correct that majority of those who finds favor w/ God will be resurrected here on earth, not in heaven.
If you will read the Bible, ALL RESURRECTION happened here on earth. Jesus was just one exception. After his earthly resurrection he went to heaven.
Again ask those confused PPL: why make the exception the rule?

The fly in the ointment was Satan, who had gained certain dominon over man, by Adam's sin.
Whatever was done there was legal, even though it wasn't right (kind of like abortion is today) and since man found himself powerless, caught in a perpetual state of slavery to Satan, sin, and death, God had to step in to JUSTLY resolve the issue.
There was only one way to get Satan out of the picture, and only the sinless and perfect Jesus, made man, could do it.
Jesus came and permitted the forces of evil to put him to death, even though he was sinless and innocent, and no one had the right to do such a thing to the son of God.
Once that was done, Satan, the prince of this world, was judged for his offense, stripped of all the power he had gained as a result of Adam's original sin, and cast out.
Jesus was resurrected, installed as the new and sinless head if all mankind, and given all power over heaven and earth.
With Jesus at the head of mankind, God was more than willing to forgive, and the means of our salvation was secured, through the grace Jesus obtained for us, and through the church Jesus founded for us, which is the authorative and true dispenser of all his grace.
END.

True! How can you even imagine attaching a human quality like having a son, to God? He is not human and he does not need his SON to sacrifice himself for the human race.
And yes, people are being immaturish if they think that they can get away with their sins because someone else has paid for their sins.....we all have to account for our OWN sins....

He willingly died so that you might live.
Salvation that comes from trusting Christ-which is the message we preach-is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, "The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart."
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
