it is already in my car i just have to have it hooked up, does any one know how much it will cost

$300 a year just to be activated, then a monthly charge dependent on what services you activate and use, somewhat like a cell phone bill. On star is basically that, a dedicated cell phone. Every time you push a button and use a service, it will cost you. Most people drop on star after the first "free" year when they find the true costs.

i dunno how much it is, but i think you can only buy it per year. not per month.
