But what, I ask wonderingly, about those fossilised remains of early man-like creatures? Marsh knows all about that: "There are no such things. Humans are basically as you see them today. Those skeletons they've found, what's the word? ... they could have been deformed, diseased or something. I've seen people like that running round the streets of New York."

Doesn't bother me in the least. If you went around getting upset by intellectual backwardness you'd need a full-time therapist, or an intravenous vodka hookup.

At least the explanations on all the exhibits were easy to put together, instead of actually studying scientific evidence and facts to figure out how something came to be,all they had to do is write "God made this this way" on hundreds of 3 by 5 cards and put them in front of the exhibits.
And in a way yes there is a darwin museum, that would be the thousands of museums worldwide who base their conclusions on scientific FACTS rather than outmoded superstitions.

There are already 2 creationism museums around... one of them is owned by Kent Hovind and will probably go under soon if it hasn't already due to his legal predicament. There was another featured on Penn & Teller's Bulls Hit, TV show, i forgot the name of the organization that runs it however.

It bothers me, but more to the extent that I find such a waste of money to be depressing. So sad that some Christians find "proving" their religion more important than helping the poor and reforming society.

Yeah, there are lots of Darwin museums. Go to any science museum which displays the bones of our ancestors, there's a bunch of them.
It doesn't bother me that they built a creation museum. Whatever floats their boats, as long as it wasn't funded with government money. I do feel sorry for the kids whose parents are taking them there though, instead of studying real science.

Why should it bother you? There are natural history museums all over the country, surely we can make room for *one* creation museum.

But why was it built?
Shouldn't it have been, like, THERE one day? Created?
That would be impressive. On Monday, an open field; on Tuesday, a brand new building, set and ready to open.

If it does bother you then you have a problem. I dont know any Christians bothered by the Franklin Institute or The Museum of Natural Sciences here in Philly but not a one mentions God and both promote evolution. So, I think that MAYBE if it bothers you, you arent as strong in your faith in Science as I am in God and Creation.
