It seems like here in middle town America people have the stupidest dream catchers and dorky lady crap on their rear view mirror? I mean a dream catcher? Do you really sleep in your car and have bad dreams? Isn't this an accident waiting to happen?

I don't know why people do this. The only thing I've hung from my rear view mirror is a car scenty thing but now I just have an oil scent that attaches to my air vents. I guess people do it for a touch of decoration.

I personally don't have anything hanging from my rear view mirror, but I do know that if you get pulled over by a cop in a bad mood he can ticket you for it. It is obstructing your view, even if it is small. I know one person who got the ticket.

In Australia its actually an offence to do so. Folks here hang the most idiotic crap on the mirror.I just think it blocks your view. Which is also why we have the law.

I especially worry about the crystals or prisms that reflect light.
The only thing hanging from mine is the air freshener.
Outside of that, I don't feel the need to treat my car like my home. It doesn't require decorating.

It's just for personalization. Plus, it really helps in finding your car in a parking lot if everything 3rd car is the same make and model as yours!

I guess they are a bunch of car decorators!
They are the people who have to decorate everything they own. I think they brains are lopsided! Tacky people were stuck with in the USA.

several reasons, some shoose to hang it on there for personal reasons,
some choose to use it to "freshen the car's smell"
some also use it because it is an area in the car that is handy to "hang " something there . after all , it is empty space in your vehicle area..
But it is also useful when your car is in the parking lot and you can spot something particular hanging from your car to identify that the car you spotted is yours..

Thats funny. My friend got a fine of $75 becuase she had a lei airfreshner. SEVENTY FIVE BUCKS what the hell? and then you see people with all these beads and **** all over thier windows and its wonder they can even see. I agree with you.
