It should be a spray or treatment that is enzyme-bases like Nature's Miracle. Was it an un-neutered male cat? Close your bedroom door and windows. He's trying to claim you and your bedroom as his territory.

It will take a while to get the smell out, go to the pet store and buy the spray for cat urine, it helps but will be awhile before the whole smell is gone, You can also try using vinegar and fabreeze. Oh and once a cat sprays it always sprays so leave it outside.

Try "PINE SOL", This stuff will get that cat urine smell out faster than quick! Mix some with water and apply to the area in question. Now, your room will smell like green pine needles for a while but it beats the urine smell. Keep the cat out!

If the smell is strong, it was most likely spray and not actual pee. The liquid males use to mark territory is a lot stronger than pee and getting it out is hard. If it was on something washable, just wash it a few times. If it was on the wall, get scrubbing. If it was on the carpet, you can buy a deoderizer from any pet store.

If the exterior is something like tiles you may wash it there and then, soak it up with tissues and such...If that's carpet and detachable, stick it contained in the showering device (as long as that's not too super!) and hang it on the line...If no longer, get the bowl of disinfectant and cleansing soap, a sponge, and a few gloves...and remember approximately the clothing peg on your nostril! (be conscious: Carpet cleaners like what you likely used deposit water into the floor, soak it returned as much as dry it...which capacity any airborne dirt and dirt would be deposited around the living house from different places...they do no longer artwork for me. i does not propose them for issues that're incredibly grimy like cat pee. Do it by hand while that's clean for the superb outcomes!!)

Well, i would have a spray bottle with water in it ready in case the cat comes in. if he/she comes in you can spray it. that is how i trained my cat. they hate the bottle. To get the smell away...hmmmmm.... this is a toughy. I would just try to spray air freshener over and over again. i really dont know.

um, not really any way to get rid of the horid smell. Sorry. Try using resolve if it was carpet, it might help, but I don't think anything really takes the smell away completely.

There are two steps: Remedy and Prevention.

Remedy = An enzyme spray available at most pet stores will do a pretty good job at breaking down the odor-causing components of cat urine. Several applications may be necessary.

Prevention = One well-placed shot from a .22LR pistol should prevent any future occurrences, at least from this particular cat.
