I think that even the Christian funamentalists are past that now,however I think if they had the power you could very well find yourself in a mental health institution being reeducated because of your disbelief. And if they had the power the instances of people being thrown in prisons for victimless crimes because they offend some morality code would dramatically increase. So that instead of a million people in prison for non violent drug crimes at any given time we would probably have 3 million. And I'm sure they would crack down much harder on prostitution and things like that,perhaps they would bring in whatever the Christian version of sharia law would be,permanently scarring people with whippings for minor moral violations. What I know for sure is that we would lose many of our basic civil rights if Christian fundamentalists or any other religious fundamentalists were to have full control of our govt,religion and freedom are not compatible.

No, but for some reason you feel you should be. Maybe look deep and honestly into why you have non-belief Is it really some form of self degradation.
Actually you do have a belief. You believe the is no whatever it is you don't believe in, which in itself is a belief.
And life ain't so dark and down, cheer up.
