because its written?....i found a website that wrote bush is a monkey, born from an african beast....do i know this to be true because it is written?

unless you have experienced death, you cannot say you know. and even if you technically die any experience could be dismissed as a dreamlike state created by the brain.........

the fact that people refer to the bible as fact and indisputable fact, is why i simply cannot support this notion of heaven and hell.

True, no one can claim they know from experience, but if one has seriously studied the Bible and truly has faith in God's word as truth, then we can know SOME things about death.

For example, see Ecclesiasted 9:5,10, which say the one who has died is unconscious, asleep in death.

Job 14:10-14 shows that dead ones are in a place called SHEOL (Hebrew) or HADES (Greek) until the day of resurrection. (See also John 11, specifically verses 23-25 and 29.)

Also read John 5:28,29 and Acts 24:15 for more details about the resurrection.

HELL, the word commonly thought to mean a burning, fiery place of torment, is inconsistent with the God of the Bible. (1 John 4:8 and Jeremiah 7:31) In fact, the word hell simply represents the common gravesite of mankind, and will be done away with in the end. (See Revelation 20:13,14; 21:1-4.)

As for HEAVEN, note what God's word says at Psalm 115:16 - "As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong,
But the EARTH he has given to the sons of men."

Personally, (And you'll doubtless dismiss this) I find that past-life experiences can be telling. People who have experienced this have been proved to be correct in describing people places and things that simply could not have been known without some sort of personal experience that would have been beyond their capabilities. References have been made to people centuries passed, in places with now different names. Researchers find these places and records of the people spoken about.

If that's possible, why is it improbable that some sort of continuation exists? Christians might say that this was a trick of the Devil or demons. Some might imply chance. I don't know about all that. I have recollections of my own, none substantiated, but they have had a definite impact on my life. I certainly don't doubt it.

For people to believe they know what happens after death, they must experience it. Unfortunately, many of you proud people will swear there is nothing and you don't care. When the time comes, it will be too late.

To believe in the bible, you have to really study up on it and other supporting documents. Faith alone is useless.

Not only does the Bible say it, I have seen a couple of videos where people claim to have died and back. I have also read a couple of books on this too. One book is I went to Hell, and a video is Death and Beyond. I don't remember the authors.

agreed. when i sleep i see things, some people have chemical imbalances in their brain that make them see things.. if you eat wrong kind of mushrooms u see things... brain can do much more then we know. heck you can see things by just thinking about them. if someone so desperatley wants christianity to be true and to see heaven then why wouldnt they see it if their subconcious takes over? my point is, why are there so many visions of heaven and none of hell? obviously no one wants to go to hell. is there a coorelation between what people want and these 'visions' of the afterlife?

well, if everybody died and had an near-death experience to relate, it wouldn't be a very interesting world now, would it? Some things have to be taken on faith. Reading or hearing about it is not necessary for your salvation. However, I don't think its a bad thing either.
