No.
Even with people who are responsible for their actions, when it comes to the Judgment, it is more the intent that counts, rather than the outcome of the actions.

Those who literally interprets the bible would fall into this trap. Remember that God intented his book for sane people. Therefore, a mentally insane one can not sin. Too, God is love and forgiving. So, whether that insane one sins or not does not really matter.

Based on human law, No a truly insane person can't sin. But the bible states they everyone has sinned and comes short of the glory of God. Jesus Christ is the only man who was without sin. Nice thing about it all is, if you know him he will forgive you of ALL your sins.

It a person who is insane cannot help being mentally ill and therefore, even though they do sin, we have to assume that they cannot help it. However, sometimes even though a person is mentally ill or insane, they still know right from wrong or can be taught to distinguish between the two.

i have talked about that they say they could't administration something even as they truly can. although, they do no longer have the vanity to administration it. Are they committing the sin by lacking the esteem to modify? Then, i have talked about that once human beings help and supplies you loving and knowledge care, the insane human being can substitute and by no ability do the sin the once idea they couldn't help. Are they sinning for being insane? perchance no longer. that's the guy who doesn't care about the insane human being who does the sin. no longer providing the affection needed to heal the insane human being is a sin. Love is the success of the so-referred to as 'regulation of God.' truly, Love isn't a regulation. that's an emotion, and the most holy emotion of all of them. branch and installation limitations is from devil. Being united and supportive is from Jesus Christ, who's the personification of affection.

Your question makes sense IF sin was an action.
It is not.
Sin is a condition ....which we share with the mentally insane.
In the language that the bible was originally written, sin means "to miss the mark."
Picture an archer trying to hit the bullseye.
Ah, its a little to the left .....he missed the mark.
It wasn't a PERFECT shot.
Man is no longer deemed perfect. He is in another category.
He is deemed sinful .....a condition.

I would have to think it depends on how deeply insane the person is. If they are totally out of touch with reality, I would have to say no. If they have occasional moments of lucidity, I would still have to say no cause there's no such thing as sin.

Only a crazy god would punish an insane person. On the other hand I know this one god whose followers claim actually drowned 99.99999% of humanity, innocent or not, including children & pregnant women, the first born of Egypt & sundry whole tribes in the mid-east.

So then I would argue that in order to sin you must be insane because only an insane person would defy a deity that will torture you forever..........wow we just abolished sin and personal responsibility.

Only God knows. Some still know right from wrong. It depends on the seriousness of the ailment and there can be a fine line.
