Flank steak takes about 1 minute flat to be tender not tough.
Every time you take something out for dinner, consider how you could prepare it using the foreman grill. For example: Pancakes might be out of the question but french toast might do very well.
And, use it this holiday season for making extra drippings for extra gravy. Take a chunk of salt pork or a pack of fatty turkey wings and press them in the grill until all the drippings are captured. Then just use the drippings to make gravy.

I last used it for hot dogs at a football game. I don't prefer to cook steaks on it, being electric. I like that fiery taste you get from a charcoal grill for my burgers and steaks.

MY grilled cheese sandwich:
Salami
mozzerella (thin sliced)
turkey (either deli sliced for sandwiches, or cut thin from a whole bird)
provalone
make the sandwich, butter the outer bread (use I cant believe its not butter or olivio if you awnt to keep it healthy)
toss it on the grill until the bread is crisp and brown, and the cheeses have started to melt.
enjoy.

I use it to cook the same things you do. I think I have had mine for over five years. It is quick and easy. He has a new one out that has four different grills. One for pancakes, one for veggies, one for grilling and I think one for baking.

I grill fish in mine and raw veggies too, like eggplant, yellow summer squash, zucchini, asparagus. Brush them with olive oil and sprinkle seasoning on them before grilling.
