For a 23-pound, , unstuffed turkey, average cooking time is: 5 hours, 45 minutes at 350 degrees. For a 23-pound, , stuffed turkey, average cooking time is: 7 hours, 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

I used oven bags once and didn't like it at all. I prefer to brush the turkey with vegetable oil, put it in the oven, and about 2/3 through cooking time, cover it with a foil tent. No basting required. It will be very juicy.

Give the seasonings a sniff. If you like the way they smell, then use them, if not, do something else. It's going to taste like it smells.

Cook tomorrow. The turkey will not be as moist the next day.

Good luck!

Don't cook today, everything will dry out because you will have to reheat it tomorrow.

You can put your turkey in for about 6 hours or so....that's a big bird...there should be instructions on the package. I really wouldn't put it in the bag....you will have to take it out of the bag to brown it, and with all the juices.....this could be a little tough. Keep it covered with foil while cooking, then uncover about the last two hours...if it starts getting too brown, just put some foil over it. The key is to cook slow and low.... Start off at a lower temperature, then raise it periodically.

As for your ham...you can use the seasonings but for the sake of time, I'm slicing mine up tonight, then tomorrow I will put brown sugar and pineapples over it and then bake it for about an hour or so. Most hams are already cooked and just need to be warmed! Good luck!!!

Just do the no fail way. Start it at mid-night. Turn it on high about 500 F for about 1/2 hour. Then turn it way down to about 100 F. over night. Baste often before you go to bed. Cover it with the lid... then just go to bed and relax. No, don't use an oven bag for the Turkey. Yes use the package for the Ham.
As for the Turkey, turn it up to about 250 F in the morning, then just baste during the day. When the Drum Stick falls off when twisted, and there's no pink by that bone, then your Turkey is nicely done.

Cook the ham today and use the packet. It can be rewarmed tomorrow. Cook the turkey tomorrow, rewarmed turkey isn't that great. That is a large turkey so you better plan on putting it on no later than 5:00 in the morning. My grandmother always got up at 4:00 to put her turkey in the oven.

I cut my oven bag & place it over my Turkey. It will work , doen't worry. Cook 18 minutes per pound & cook tomorrow. Make sure you time it right! I'm cooking a 20lb bird & starting at 10:30 so I can be sitting by 5.

the only 2 things i know about cooking turkeys is that you have to take the innerds out, they may be a bag of "giblets" inside and you do not want to cook the turkey with that inside. also, you cook the turkey until the "plug" pops out. most turkeys now come with a plastic "plug" somewhere in the side and it pops out when it's done. this will take several hours so you'll need to get up early tomarrow (4-5 am) and put it in the oven to cook all day.

now about side dishes...i'm just now resting. i spent my son's naptime today doing all the pies, cassoroles, and veggie tray/dips so that tomarrow all i have to do is pop the cassaroles in the oven, fry the turkey and enjoy my family.

good luck and enjoy your thanksgiving day

That turkey will never fit in that bag...! You have to put your turkey on tonight! You cook a turkey on fairly low heat...and you must baste it. If you have no clue at what you're doing...you should really call a family relative to help you! You can also go to All Recipes.com and get instructions on how to cook your turkey! Good luck!
