After the eggs are done boiling, immediately run the pot under cold water, flushing out all of the hot water. Let the eggs sit in the pot with cold water ( a few ice cubes wouldn't hurt ) for a few minutes, then peel! I usually take the egg and roll it somewhat gently on the counter, back and forth, so the shell cracks pretty good. The trick to getting the shell to peel off smoothly is getting underneath that extremely thin, plastic like layer in between the egg and the shell. If you can get underneath that, it 'peels' the shell off much, much easier.

Fresh eggs that are hard boiled tend to have the shells "stick" to the whites because there's not a lot of "air" pockets. It's best to use eggs that are a few days to a week old, since these air pockets form within that time. Also, when you are cooking the eggs, make sure to only allow the water to come to a boil; the pan should be removed, covered, and the eggs should sit in the boiled water for about 5 minutes. Then, they should be rinsed with cold water and allowed to cool. After they cool, crack the shell all arond the egg by tapping it lightly on the countertop. Your boiled eggs should peel very easily!

put a bit of salt in the boiling water. Remember to always 'cook' the eggs, not 'boil' them. Wait till the water is at the boiling point with the eggs in the water. Then put a lid on them for 10 mins. on low heat.
Drain, and run cold water over your eggs, they will then be really easy to peel under the running cold water.

Fresh eggs are the worst to peel. Make sure you buy them a week ahead. Put in pan with cold water bring to a boil. When boiling remove from heat and cover for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water and you should be good.

Start the eggs in cold water to cover (you can add a teaspoon of vinegar to the water to keep the eggs from spreading out if the shells crack; it won't affect the eggs' flavor). Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for ten minutes, THEN… (this is the key to easy peeling part) plunge the eggs into ice cold water until they're cool. The shells will slip right off.

You have to cook them for 18 minutes after the water starts to boil. If you are not sure if the water is boiling enough wait longer. It is very hard to over cook the eggs. After 18 minutes remove the eggs from the stove and run cold water into the pot. They should peel very easily.

put eggs in pan & add water to just top of eggs. Put on stove & cook for 10 mainutes after point of water boil. They will cook perfect & peel easy. Make sure you allow them 2 cool complete b4 peeling!

i'm definitely shocked by utilising what share people don't be attentive to such a standard thank you to peel not ordinary boiled eggs. Boil the eggs with salt. once you're waiting to peel, quite of cracking the shell, set it on a not ordinary floor which includes a counter suitable and roll on a similar time as somewhat pressing on the egg. it will shred the shell after which you basically peel off the shell which includes your arms. it works each and every time. stable success!

Use older eggs (but not bad ones out of date). That's the key. Then just cover them with cold water, bring to a boil, boil for 15 minutes, drain and shake the pan and cover with cold water to cool them. Works every time!

Put salt in your water. For some reason it makes the eggs easier to peel. Make sure you have fresh eggs as well.
