Ginger Garlic Paste
SUBMITTED BY: DC Girly Girl

After finding tons of recipes calling for ginger-garlic paste, but only finding ginger paste or garlic paste, but not both, at local grocery stores, I decided to find a recipe for it myself. Basically it is just equal amounts of ginger root and garlic pulsed together. Store in the refrigerator or freezer. You may use water in place of the oil, but it will not keep as long.

Ginger Paste

A combination of fresh ginger, pureed and mixed with water to form a paste that is used in making a variety of savory Indian food dishes.

I have never heard of a cheese cake using ginger paste. But I would use regular ginger and use one of those pestel and mortar things to mash it up real good.

Grated ginger would work fine.Be careful , ginger is REALLY strong. I'd use just a teaspoon or two of it. Hope this helps

If it's for the crust, just replace the graham crackers with Pepperidge Farm Ginger Men. Or, do half and half. I use the ginger men for all my cheesecakes and it's great!
