I know Jet Li is a many-time Wushu Champion....but can he fight in real life? What if he was to fight a brawler in a alley? Who would win and why? Is he still practicing and training his Martial Arts skills?

Jet Li can fight. He's been training since he was a kid and he's still training now.

First, I really like Jet Li's movies. Jet Li is fast and in shape, and has extraordinary agility, but Wushu is an impractical performance art characterized by moves that are more symbolic than effective. I'd give him good odds against your average couch potato, but that's about it. Any decent boxer would own him, as would the average kickboxer. He would have no chance against any blue belt or above in BJJ.

As for him being a martial artist first, actor second, I believe that's incorrect. He's an entertainer first and second. Wushu is a closer relative to gymnastics than any real fighting art.

It's hard to say. Jet Li has really only trained in Wushu, which is a performance art. If he were attacked by just one guy on the street without any real skill or dangerous weapon, I'd say Jet Li would know enough to either beat the guy or get away. If it were two or three guys or even one guy with something like a gun, I don't believe he could win.

Yes Jet Li can fight . As to your second question , a fight is an of the moment event . In other words choosing a winner is all but impossible .

First off I am a very big fan of Jet Li. I have just about every moive he has made.

anyways to answer your question yes he could win a real fight.

why because he started training when he was 8. The first 10 years of his training he trained for 8 hours a day 6 days a week.

in tournment he did not do sparring. how ever when you train that much the movements becomes 2nd nature.

so facing someone that is not trained or a normal martial artist.

now if he was facing someone like chuck ladell that trains to fight for a living he might have a hard time

He'd probably win because he'd know how to control his body. For the most part, when you get in a street fight, you're acting on blind rage. It's hard to have the presence of mind to use technique. However, if you knew all that Jet Li knows, you'd probably easily see where the next punch is going. All I know is, I won't fight him if you paid me.

No. Jet Li is the most awesome, fast, and best kung fu fighter out there. No one can even get close to beating him. Did I mention that Jackie Chan is better than Jet Li?

of course he can. all of us know he's a Wushu champion who competited with people twice his age.he once recalled that when he was on the podium for the gold medal he was still shorter
.i am a big fan and his talents are really amazing.he has told the Reader's Digest magazine ,though he played many heros he isn't a hero in real life.he is so humble and i can never imagine a villain for him. so i don't think he'll get a chance to fight with anyone unless it's a movie. he's a real Buddhist who refuses violence.

You know every person squares that wushu is useless but never even used it just because it's for performance doesn't mean you can't use it. It's all about how you use it that matters and most people that try and use it don't use it right or freezes up,it hasn't become second nature for them. The point is it depends on the person and how it's being used
