US Prisoners do not have internet access, generally speaking. A very few facilities permit limited and closely monitored access for educational purposes and a couple of prisons are test driving a program that allows very limited, closely monitored and very costly e-mail communication- When someone has a webpage that claims they are in prison they are either lying or else a friend on the outside is maintaining the site for them.

There is a website for some prisoners to have interaction with the outside world. I exchanged letters with an Arab prisoner and wanted to buy a painting of his, yet it was sold. It was painting of Jewel (the singer) in a Hindu paradise.
