My daughter (3yrs) goes to Head Start which is Federally funded.
The school bus has broken down so many times this year and she (along with many other kids) have had to miss school because of it. This week alone she missed 3 days and the next 2 are holiday. That makes a week of school just this week alone.
The school said even if they were given a new bus they couldn't accept it because of their funding. Who should I write to? Would a petition work in this case? Does anyone have any info that would help me get something in motion to help our kids? Thanks for any help.

Contact the school board. See if they can give you an operative action. Most of the time it takes a few letters from parents. See who you need to address these too and make sure that the other parents do the same. That is how we were able to get some other actions in my school district.

I don't know if this would be a feasible option, but could you and the other parents of the kids on that route work out car pooling schedules?
