Dear Skybelle2:
The war is not about oil, or Muslims vs. Christians. It started centuries ago, before oil was used, before cars, even. The Muslims have been told to rule the world...their mission is to conquer the World.
Many Muslims are happy to practice their religion and not go to war over it. They accept what others do around them, and peacefully live in their own Muslim-world. They don't want to kill or otherwise conquer anyone.
But a percentage of Muslims, with blood-thirsty leaders, are out there to kill. There doesn't have to be a reason when fanaticism takes hold.
The U.S. went to war because the radical Muslims attacked us here on our soil. Not only did they attack innocent civilians (the Twin Towers), but they attacked the Pentagon, and the White house was another intended target. That's an act of war as certain as the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Some think the U.S. is the bully. But the real bullys, and sneaky ones at that, are the radical Muslim groups. They don't have the courage to stand up to a fight, organize an army or something like that. They prefer to brainwash or threaten or pay someone to blow himself up in a crowd of people doing nothing but living their daily life.
As for the reason for this present-day war, Bin Laden resented the foreigners in Arab countries. He didn't mind that he became rich by the sale of oil. He didn't mind getting western educated people to fight his war. And he thought he could scare the U.S. enough to make us stay out of the Arab countries.
The fact is, we never wanted to be there in the first place. Sadam Hussain attacked Kuwait, some years ago. They were an ally of the U.S. We went in to help them. But that was just the beginning of our present situation. Bin Laden kept nipping at our heels, so to speak, almost like he was trying to start a war. But we had Bill-chicken-liver in the White House at that time...he sent missles into empty fields, and an asperin factory, etc. But when Bin Laden couldn't get a rise out of us, he opted for drastic measures...that was 9/11.
We had a President then that was not a playboy, not someone who was in the White House for fun, like Clinton was. He promised the people that the enemy who hit our buildings and killed the many thousands of innocent people would hear from us.
The Secret Service, CIA and other organizations tried to gather as much information as possible so they could advise the President, the Senate and Congress, so that proper action could be taken. The result was what you see today. The enemy is still bullying, hiding behind their own innocent Muslims, who are too scared to help themselves.
Think about this for a minute:
Today on the news it was announced that 3 dead womens bodies were found face down in a ditch. They were killed on different dates, so the police think it might be a serial killer. They also think the women may have been prostitutes. It was not called a terrorist act, and the many such killings that occur daily here in the United States are simply called murders. That's what is going on in Iraq. The sneak-killers are simple murderers. For one human being to kill others with a passion is not normal human behavior. That's fanatiscism.
The rest of your question, about the a
Anti-Christ...if that is the World's destiny, do you think anyone can stop it? I would suggest you stay God-prayerful. Don't worry about the non-believers. What do they know? They are living in darkness.
As for the "news" covering "it"...when that Anti-Christ arrives, you can count on the news kissy-footing him and covering his every word.
God bless you, and God bless America.

Speaking of whackjobs. Nothing in the Bible indicates that the antiChirst would come from the area of Iran. we have to wait for that faithfully to see what will happen. The Iraq war is a series of miscalculations and arrogance. Hoepfully, God could plan something better than this.

Wow, you are a little mixed up.
This war is a lot of things, but to the US it is not a Holy War. There are many extreme religous groups that are fighting in this war.
Dont get confused. There are Muslims in the US Military. We are there to give the power of the country to the people of that country. Not to make them Christians.

Think about, what if all the Arab countries said we had to buy their oil with foreign currency. What if they said they would not recognize American dollars. The value of our currency would plummet. All crap runs down hill, therefore everyone of us would feel the pain of that one.Plus, have you ever wondered just maybe the United States and our allies know something we don't.
As one soldier told me after doing one tour in Iraq,"people that's griping about this war have no idea why we're over there, but we do."
Just because it's not a blatant excuse, don't think for one second we're over there for nothing.

you can believe that GW's war of choice is some kind of holy crusade if that helps you feel you're on the right side of God but the fact of the matter is that war is always about gaining and maintaining power over territory and the resources therein. the war on the Peoples of Iraq is a war for profit and the only ones who benefit from it are the war profiteers of the Military Industrial Complex, mega corporations like Halliburton, Lockheed Martin and the Carlyle Group.
try doing a little research outside your Bible myths.

Nobody (other than some Christian/religious media source) is covering that version of the story because anyone who believes in that sort of thing (like you) already "knows" that's what's happening and the rest of the world doesn't care or need to hear it because they "know" it it's not true.

religious OR that America wants to prove that it's the alpha male of the pack. Or just be a plain bully. I realise there are lots of pro war people and people who back this war for various reasons but I do not think that war is the way to go. They might have flown into the trade center, but the government was also said to have received previous knowledge and ignored it. That's just stupid. "oh, we'll be attacked, but we won't even try to do anything about it!" ... yeah.

There's a rare spice under the dunes out there. But only the Iraqi people can control the dreaded sand worms that prowl beneath the desert sands.
Once we control the spice, the whole galaxy will kneel before us!
Bwahahahaha!!

I can understand a war about land, natural resources and/or power (I don't agree with it but I can understand it). That is human nature..........to survive and do it with the most advantages to your group as possible.
It scares me to think that there are still people out there that not only believe that this war is to determine who has the better rule book for worshiping the Great Sky Fairy but believe it is a good cause to fight for.

Iraq is about a bad foreiegn policy being implemented in the worst way possible. People clearly didn't understand that taking out Saddam would destabilize the government. That's what it's about - incompetence.
As for the rest of your rant - you're crazy. God's not coming back - he was never here in the first place.
