what kind of shampoo would cover it up if it does stink?

The only time that you will smell the 'stink' is while the relaxer is being applied. After the shampooing, the only thing you will smell is whatever other products your stylist will apply to style your hair.

After you straighten your hair yes it'll smell a tad bit but whatever you do, DO NOT wet your hair for at least 2 days after. If you do then you just waisted your time straightening it. Just put a few drops of perfume around your neck to help cover the smell. But trust me the smell is not bad at all.

Unfortuanetly, after a chemical straightening it smells like chemicals, it can be easily covered up with special shampoo

no not as bad as a perm does and you can wash your hair after 24 hours.

i'm 13 i straighten my hair each and every morning its uncomplicated and seems good yet once you chemically straighten your hair, you ought to guard your hair otherwise it gets all frizzy and unsightly lol my chum did it and now her hair appears like crap your welcome =) lol
